Meals on Wheels aims to improve the nutrition, food security and lives of those they serve. Many elderly and homebound people find themselves isolated and alone, with no way to shop for food or prepare meals. They then find themselves unable to live independently and in poor health due in part to a lack of nutrition. Each weekday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., our volunteers deliver meals to the homes of clients in the Mineral Wells/Palo Pinto County area. We serve individuals who are homebound, elderly or disabled and who might otherwise not be able to have a nutritious lunchtime meal.
